BJP Kashmir unit Sunday facilitated newly District Development Council (DDC) candidates and Pancha & Sarpanchs. The party leaders stressed that BJP is committed for all round development in the region.
The party workers after listening to ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program of Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi facilitated the newly appointed DDC candidates at Tagore Hall Srinagar.
On the occasion, around 110-120 panchs and sarpanches from several districts of Valley joined party in presence of many senior party leaders.
Adressing the party workers, BJP National General Secretary & Incharge J&K Shri Tarun Chugh who was Cheif Guest on the occasion said lotus has bloomed in the valley and it is good beginning for the party in the valley.
“Our party has got maximum vote and was single largest party with highest seats in recent elections as people of Jammu and Kashmir has rejected the traditional parties,” he said.
Chugh said party is getting more popular in the Union Territory and stated that BJP will reach each and every corner of the J&K for development.
“People accepted the vision and mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi leadership and voted for peace and prosperity,” he said.
Chugh said that despite pressures and propaganda by Gupkar Gang leaders party emerged with victory and maximum vote share.
“We conducted historical rallies in every part of the valley even at seperatist hotbeds while traditional leaders had neglected them and left people for God’s mercy,” he said.
Chugh said party workers should fulfill all the promises made during their campaign and not deceive the people like the Gupkar Gang leaders who exploited the people for the past 70.
On the occasion, BJP General secretary and in-charge Kashmir affairs Vibodh Gupta said that victory of BJP in the DDC elections is the victory of the development.
“BJP popularity has becomed frustration for the Gupkar Gang leaders and they are trying to defame our party but people have rejected their dynastic rule,” he said.
Gupta said there is a long way to go. We have already started working on strengthening the party organization based on the DDC election result in the valley.
” DDC and Panchayats will empower people of Jammu and Kashmir and people who were misleading them on restoration of Article 370 and 35 A are living in the fool’s paradise,” he said.
Chugh added that now common people are empowered by Narendra Modi Government who were suppressed during the past 70 years in the region.
BJP’s Vice President Sofi Yousuf while the party workers said some people were creating fear and panic among people if they will vote during elections they will be targeted by bullets and grenades but people have sent a clear message.
Yousuf said people of Jammu and Kashmir want peace and progress in the region and they are against any kind of violence.
“People want young leaders and have rejected the traditional, dynastical politics Mufti’s and Abdullah’s as they have exploited the Jammu and Kashmir from the past 70 years,” he said.
Yousuf said BJP is committed to development and people will see dawn of development in upcoming years.
Addressing a gathering wining candidates DDC Srinagar Er. Ajaz Hussain said of the total 29 lakh voters who took part in the DDC elections, approx 19 lakh voters voted against the Gupkar gang which means almost 70 per cent people wanted Gupkar gang candidates out.
