Conference on Neuro Acoustic Research Project was held.

On 30th of December 2020 at Taseer Hall Amar Singh College a press conference on Neuro Acoustic Research Project was held, Dignitaries who were present on the occasion are Dr. M Y Peerzada (Director Colleges, J&K Higher Education Department), Prof. Bashir Ahmad Rather (Principal Amar Singh College, Research Hub), Dr. Riyaz Ahmad Untoo (Principal SKIMS Medical College), Dr Tariq Ahmad Shikari (Director JKIMS ), Dr Khurshid Ahmad Mir (Registrar cluster University) and Dr Shahzad Aasim (Principal Investigator, Research Head KASRC JKIMS).
Proff. Bashir Ahmad Rather Principal Amar Singh College highlited the importance of the project and assured logistic and technical support from their end to the Neuro acoustic Research Project Headed By Dr Shahzad Aasim and thereafter Dr. Riyaz Ahmad Untoo (Principal SKIMS Medical College) highlighted the Global importance of The said Project and Expressed his gratitude to be the part of this noval research project and was very grateful to Dr Shahazad Aasim for initiating the project which is first of its kind not in J&K but in whole country. This is the project which is being initiated only in couple of countries across the Globe, He added.
On this auspicious occasion, Principal Investigator of this project Dr Shahzad Aasim introduced the scientific technicalities, and focused not only on treatment but as well as Diagnosis of the patients with neurological/mental disorders, heart ailments and many more. He further stated that globally, mental health disorders are among the leading causes of illness and disability. There is an abundance of such cases in Kashmir and the need of the hour is to tackle it diligently with the help of Music, Sound and Acoustic therapies including Specific and Unspecific Sound therapies, Neuro Acoustic Mechanism and Cymatic Therapy etc. and has started to shoulder the responsibility of decoding the conflation of Music and Medical Science through his Research Centre running in the JKIMS Cluster University Srinagar in collaboration with SKIMS Medical College Srinagar, which will open up the new windows in the field of medical science and prove the harmonious relationship between music, sound and medical science and will make scientific scale for treatment and also Diagnosis of mental disorders like Depression, Anxiety, Autism, dementia, schizophrenia and many more first time in the whole country.
