The Jammu police on Friday claimed that an information was received at P/S Akhnoor that some unknown persons travelling in a vehicle bearing Registration number JK02AU/6566 was coming from from Phallanwala Kaleeth towards Jamotia, whereby said vehicle was later parked at Jamotia where the persons fired from one 12 bore weapon and one Pistol disturbing the peace in the area.
Regarding the incident which created panic in the area a case under FIR No. 38/21 U/S 336 IPC, 3/25 A ACT was registered in Police station Akhnoor
They added that immediately after special police team of police station Akhnoor led by SHO P/S Akhnoor Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar reached on spot and arrested the two accused namely Vinod Singh S/O Ranjeet Singh R/O Patan Pallanwala Teh Khour and Vipan Chalotra S/O Puran Chand R/O Kaleeth Teh Khour. Both the weapons used in the commission of the offence were also recovered and seized.
According to the statement issued to CNS further investigation of the case is going on.
