Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh on Friday said that militancy isn’t limited to South Kashmir only but militants are active in other parts of Kashmir as well.
While talking with media DGP said that sometimes people assume that militancy is limited to South Kashmir, however, on ground it is not true.
Yesterday’s encounter in Baramulla was third encounter in northern Kashmir in last one or two months, he said.
Encounters shows that militants are active in North Kashmir as well or they are trying to remain active, he added.
Pertinently two militants including one top commander of Jaish e Mohammed were killed in an encounter on Thursday in Baramulla district.
