Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society,
Officers from Police Station Mattan during Naka checking at Akura bridge Mattan arrested three drug peddlers along with cannabis powder about 400 gms and bung (boosa) about 4.3kgs. They have been identified as 1. Nisar Ahmad Bhat S/o Abdul khaliq bhat R/o Peth Nambal
- Jehangir Yousuf wani S/o Mohd Yousuf Wani R/o Rampora
- Nisar Ahmad Bhat S/o Mohd Iqbal Bhat R/o Mattan. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.19/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Mattan and further investigation has been initiated.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
