SRINAGAR, FEB 22 : Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Monday said that those who are demanding early assembly elections in the UT must cooperate with the Delimitation Commission to complete the exercise at the earliest.
“Those demanding early Assembly polls in J&K must help and cooperate with the Delimitation Commission so that the process is completed and Assembly polls are held in the UT,” he said in reply to a query that when assembly polls are going to be held in the UT.
He said India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) will take care of such things on asking about request of Mehbooba Mufti of dialogue.
There are constitutional institutions in India. The decision is taken by the Election Commission. Let the work related to delimitation get completed, the Commission will definitely conduct elections, he said.

PM has assured the entire nation & the delimitation commission has begun its work. I request that those who want election soon should help in this delimitation process, instead of making excuses, he said.
