Members of Sikh community on Thursday took out a protest march here against thrashing of a Sikh driver in New Delhi earlier this week.
Over a dozen members of the community marched from Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Amira Kadal to Press Enclave to protest against the incident.
The protesters affiliated with ‘GurmutTaksal’ were carrying placards with messages like ‘make some laws to protect religious symbols’ and ‘Turban: it is an identity, a promise and an honour’.
They demanded stern action against Delhi Police personnel who thrashed the driver. “A law should be framed so that our religious identity is respected,” demanded a protester.
